About Carey
Hi, I’m Carey.
I’ve spent much of my career working on problems that don’t fit neatly inside one discipline.
My path has crossed entrepreneurship, supply chain technology and data systems, rare disease, healthcare strategy, education, coaching, and the lived experience of navigating health with my own family.
Different settings. A surprisingly consistent challenge:
The pieces often exist. The connections don’t.
That idea sits at the center of WellSelf 360 and the work I’m building.

I started in supply chain technology and data systems, where I learned how much better decisions become when information is organized for people to use.
My work later moved deeply into rare disease, where I helped build and strengthen clinical, research, registry, and patient-centered infrastructure for primary ciliary dyskinesia.
That work brought together clinicians, researchers, patients and families, advocacy organizations, data, funders, and institutions around problems no single discipline could solve alone.
At the same time, my family was navigating health challenges from the other side of the system.
Healthcare can develop extraordinary depth within specialties, diagnoses, and areas of science.
Symptoms overlap. Conditions interact. Life circumstances matter. Details accumulate across years and providers. Even when each part is addressed appropriately, it can be hard to see how it fits together.
What would change if we became better at connecting the information we already have?
That question led me deeper into whole-person and metabolic health, behavior change, education, and coaching, alongside healthcare strategy. What had seemed like two careers increasingly became one continuum.
At the individual level, symptoms, diagnoses, labs, treatments, habits, life experiences, and specialist recommendations may never have been considered together.
At the organizational level, fragmentation may involve evidence, patient experience, data, programs, stakeholders, funding, and operational constraints.
How do we bring complex information into focus and turn it into useful action?
WellSelf 360
I founded WellSelf 360 to create space for work that crosses traditional boundaries. Today, that includes:
CLARITY360
An emerging approach to helping people make sense of health stories and turn them into clearer priorities and action.
STRATEGY + CONSULTING
Helping organizations make health challenges more structured, actionable, and implementable.
PERSONAL HEALTH
Health education and coaching to help people see the patterns shaping their health and take meaningful action.
Different applications. The same fundamental approach: Connect the pieces. See the bigger picture. Decide what matters next.
SYSTEMS THINKING
I work across disciplines, stakeholders, evidence, data, and competing priorities without losing sight of the person or problem at the center.
TRANSLATION
Science and data matter when people can understand what they mean and what to do with them. My work often translates between researchers, clinicians, organizations, patients, families, and decision-makers.
LIVED EXPERIENCE
Health doesn’t happen inside a framework or spreadsheet. My family’s experiences have reinforced the importance of context, access, uncertainty, practical constraints, and lived knowledge.
ACTION ORIENTATION
Understanding matters. I’m particularly interested in what it allows someone to do next.

Long before healthcare, I was a competitive athlete. Sport taught me preparation, resilience, teamwork, adaptability, and the difference between possessing information and using it effectively. Those lessons have stayed with me, along with the belief that the person experiencing the problem should never disappear from solving it.
My work today sits between health, people, and systems. Sometimes that means helping an organization design a better approach to a difficult healthcare problem. Sometimes it means helping an individual see their health differently. And increasingly, it means building Clarity360 to bridge fragmentation I’ve encountered from both sides.
I don’t expect complexity to disappear. I believe we can become much better at making sense of it.
